With so many fabulous facilities available the chances are you may well decide to spend your entire holiday relaxing by the pool and enjoying everything Monkey Tree has to offer, but did you know our holiday park is the ideal location from which to explore Cornwall?

There’s a lot more to Cornwall than just sandy beaches, windswept coastlines and pasties. As well as the obvious water sports, there are also enchanted gardens, mysterious castles and cliffside theatres to explore, all set within Cornwall’s magnificent scenery.

 

Newquay is just a few minutes away and the historic city of Truro with its cathedral and bustling shopping centre is a 15 minute drive. If you fancy venturing a little further, try picturesque St. Ives or the stunning St. Michael’s Mount, both less than 45 minutes away.

Learn To Surf

Cornish Wave have been providing surf lessons in Newquay sine 2012 and have a team of friendly, experienced instructors available to help you hit the waves like a pro!

You’ll receive a friendly welcome by your surf coach before jumping into a warm winter wetsuit and selecting  a surfboard suited to your size.

Learn the basics of sea & beach safety, how to manage the board and of course, catch a wave back to the shore. Make sure you bring along your swimming costume, some shoes for the beach and a towel.

Lappa Valley Railway

Dairyland

Callestick Farm

You may have already sampled delicious Callestick Farm ice cream at Monkey Tree, but did you know it’s produced on a farm just a five minute drive away?

Using fresh milk from their own free range herd, thick Cornish clotted cream and the finest natural ingredients, a trip to the farm ice cream parlour is a must! Serving delicious treats including milkshakes, sundaes, cream teas (jam first) and of course a huge range of ice cream, including exclusive flavours.

Relax in the sunny courtyard after a day on the beach, or shelter in the parlour whilst the Cornish weather does its thing.

Blue Reef Aquarium

Blue Reef Newquay is home to hundreds of different types of sea creatures, all showcased in 40 themed habitats. You’ll be taken on a journey from the Cornish coast to exotic seas in faraway lands.

Come face to fin with freshwater turtles, meet creepy caiman and check out displays of funky fish from all over the world.

You’ll also get to experience what it’s like to be under the sea by taking a walk through our underwater tunnel which runs right through the ocean tank at the heart of the aquarium. You’ll see shoals of colourful fish, and you may even spot a reef shark lurking in the depths.
