We’re delighted and relieved to report the massive new A30 dual carriageway has finally opened in time for the summer, and whilst that that will bring an end to the notorious traffic chaos between Carland Cross and Chiverton, it make take a little time for your Sat-Nav to update.
Work on the A30 dualling scheme began in March 2020, including 10 new underpasses and underbridges, three new bridges and 33 new culverts and crossings for wildlife. Nine tunnels for otters to cross the road and 21 crossings for bats have been included in the scheme while there is no artificial lighting on either the main route or at junctions to cut light pollution.
Heading towards the new Carland Cross Interchange on the westbound A30, follow the signs to Zelah and Perranporth (B3288).
Continue on the B3288 for approximately 2 miles, then turn right, following the signs to Perranporth and Goonhavern (B3285).
After 1 mile, at the crossroads, turn right onto Scotland Road. You’ll see Monkey Tree Holiday Park clearly signposted.
We look forward to welcoming you!
